News in Brief
The Group enjoyed a successful day at the Sledmere Country Fair. We were blessed with warm weather. Over 160 prizes were given out on the tombola which realised a profit of over £170. Tombola organiser, Richard Bishop, would like to thank the team of almost a dozen Group volunteers who helped on the day. Thanks also to all those who donated prizes. With the possibility of another tombola later in the year, we would now like to appeal for more prizes. These can be given to any committee member, or brought to any indoor meeting.
Events
2002
Peering
at Puffins, our cliff top event at Bempton at the Spring Bank Holiday,
and Seawatch Sunday at Flamborough will not be held in 2002, mainly
because they clash with other Group activities However they will return
in 2003.
We are planning other Group public events, including a stall at Sledmere
Show, and these will be advertised later in the year, when we have the
dates.
